 Support The Centre

Your support is greatly appreciated.  You can help in several ways including purchasing a membership for the fiscal year.  Memberships are just $10/person or $20/family.  To become a member simply fill out the pdf. form and mail back to the centre with your cheque.  Membership Form .  Included in your membership is our quarterly newsletter The New Chronicle, free admission to the Centre for the fiscal year, discounts on rentals, personal invites or notifications of events and programming as well as voting rights at the AGM.

Charitable Donations - We are also a registered charity and can issue tax receipts for donations of $10 or more.   We accept cash, cheque and credit card.  Please make cheque or money orders out to the Duck Lake Historical Museum Society Inc. and include the name you would like on the tax receipt as well as a return address.  Please do not send cash in the mail, cash can be dropped off at the Centre during business hours.  You can make your credit card donation by phoning us at 306-467-2057 or toll free 1-866-467-2057.  Feel free to contact us if you would like to make a donation.

Volunteering/Gifts in Kind - the Centre will gladly accept gifts that will support our operations, services and programming.  These gifts can include products or services such as equipment, advertising mediums, events or program planning, landscaping/maintenance services and much more.   A tax receipt for your gift in kind can be issued at fair market value for your generosity.  Volunteers are the backbone of any not for profit organization and the Centre would not function to full capacity without your generous gift of time and resources.  Our volunteers ensure our events are successful through meticulous planning, preparation and effective implementation.   Should you wish to join our volunteer group please feel free to contact us.

Donations to the Collection- As part of the mandate for the Duck Lake Historical Museum Society Inc. the organization collects historically relevant items, information, photos and documents that compliment the existing exhibits and storyline of the Centre.  If you wish to make a donation of this kind please feel free to contact us and your request will be brought to the Collections Committee for review.  Sorry we cannot purchase items.

Centennial Monument Plaques- you can purchase a brass plaque in memory of a loved one or someone who has contributed to the history of Duck Lake and the community.  The plaques are $150 each and will include three lines of text.  Please fill out the form and send to us.  Your plaque will be placed on the Centennial Monument that was erected in the boulevard of the Centre for the public to view.

Wills and Bequests - You can help to ensure the sustainability of the Centre by leaving some or all of your assets to the Duck Lake Historical Museum Society Inc.  This can include property, investments, cash or other assets.  Your wishes for your bequest should be indicated in your will should you wish to do so.  This can be your way of leaving a substantial and lasting gift to the Society to help secure the future of the Centre and the collection.

Gift Programs- Many corporations have a "matching gift" program to encourage their employees to donate to charities.  This means the company will match the donation made by the employee.  It is a great way to increase your contribution to the Society at no extra cost to you.  Please check with your corporation if they have a similar program in place and inform them of your donation.
